What is Iridology?
You might have heard of the incredible gift of a reflexologist’s touch,
but there are also several other places on the body that , separately,
can show an accurate picture of the whole body. The hands together,
the feet together, the face, the tongue, and the eyes together. You’ve
most likely heard the phrase – the eyes are the window to the soul – I
think that is true, but it goes beyond that. In Germany, eye analysis is
actually used for diagnosis. I don’t do that – and actually, here in the
states, I could be arrested if I tried. An Iridologist can see areas where
there may be  a genetic predisposition to weakness or weakness due
to personal lifestyle choices.
Weak areas – what is a weak area? Well – simply stated, it is a place
in the body that would be easily attacked by disease, germs,
malfunctioning cells… etc. Just because it can be seen as weak in
the eye, it may not show symptoms for a long time. That is why
Iridology is so helpful in preventative care, because suggestions
made today can help that weak area from becoming a chronic
condition. Weak areas can be supported through use of proper
nutritional supplementation, better lifestyle and dietary choices, and
stress relief strategies.
You can do some basic self analysis based on about 5 criteria.
1.        Eye color – it has been theorized that there are only 2 actual eye
colors – Blue and Brown, but I feel that there has also been enough
genetic combining in our civilization to have produced a third color – a
mixed color of blue and brown – because those eyes still look very
rich in their colors and true not dirty.  Variations of these three colors
are then caused by certain issues within the body. White is an acute
condition, possibly a minor infection, yellow is a little more serious of
an infection, Orange, red, brown and black – black being the worst
level of toxicity that can be seen in the eye. Usually, if a person goes to
the Dr. for symptoms that are exhibiting themselves that doesn’t
happen until it is seen as orange or darker.
2.        Strength of Constitution  of the iris. When looking at the iris, (the
colored part of the eye) A strong constitution has close fibers  - and
looks nice and solid. A weak constitution has wavy lines throughout,
and can even look like loose or spread out fibers. Constitution is
equivalent to immune system or also to personality. You can think of it
like a shield –  A strong shield against an army of master archers can
provide pretty good protection – but a shield that looks like a dream
catcher will offer little help in a battle. The same is true with
constitution. If you get sick with a strong constitution – you fight it off
well and don’t stay sick for months. Things bounce off easily- even
negative comments and remarks.

3.        Cleanliness – Are there orange, yellow, or brown spots in your
eyes? Any white cloudiness spreading throughout the otherwise clear
pupil? Spots anywhere can indicate a area of weakness, but if they
are found in the colon area it is a clear sign that cleansing is needed.
Spots outside that colon area will need more than that.

With the pupil being in the very center, there is a jaggedy area
surrounding it – that is the nervous system central, which also
surrounds the colon. Dirtiness in this area would be a good reason to
consult an herbalist. Also be certain that you are drinking at least 8-10
glasses of water per day and eating your fruits, veggies,
and grains.

4.        Stress Rings – These lines in the iris can be partial or
complete – they can be faint or clear, but, just their presence is a sign
that stress is affecting the body.
These markings are usually found around the inner outside edge of
the
Iris, any where in that circle – if it is at the top edge of the eye, it is
Probably affecting the way you think. If it is, around the bottom edge,
It may exhibit itself in leg / foot pain. Just having them is a reason to
start looking for ways to distress. 1 stress ring is normal, 5 is
excessive.
You be the judge of how stressed you are.

5.        Pupil Size – An overly large pupil is an extrovert – someone who
loves people, and opens her/him self up to them. A small pupil is an
introvert, someone who may not feel comfortable in a group of people.
And a pupil that doesn’t adjust to light properly is a person who has
difficulty maintaining balance. (blood sugar disorders, drug users,
bipolar disorder)

As you can see, Iridology can be a very complex science, and seeing
certain things in the eye just means that you have to look for other
things to see what the proper interpretation should be. These few
guidelines are just very basic, but if you have interest in seeing more
please feel free to ask.
