Homeopathy - What it is and
why it works
Homeopathy is kind of a strange
form of natural medicine - it has
qualities like today's medicine, with
its standardized processes and
manuals on provings, but to the
layman let's just say that, simply, it
is using like to treat like. For
example - Coffee would cause a
person who doesn't drink coffee
regularly to be jittery, nervous, even
panicy - Coffea Cruda -
homeopathic coffee can be used to
treat those same symptoms.
How does it work? Well, this is
where it gets a little strange , and
this is why homeopathy gets such a
bad rap - because when laboratory
tested, it seems as if nothing is
there except the base - either
alcohol or a milk sugar tablet. So,
for the skeptics out there, I don't
blame you for being skeptical. But, I
have used them and they do work.
What's in it? It is the essence or
energy of the herb that is added to
the base, by long periods of
shaking the base and the herb
together. If you think about it -
herbal oils are made by leaving
herbs sit in olive oil for a month or
two, and the flavor is still there in the
oil, when you remove the herb - it's
kind of the same idea. The herbal
properties are still left behind,
though the herb does not remain.
Because the amount of herb is so
minute, it is safe for pregnant
moms, babies, and small children
as well as everyone else. To the
